CO Furnace Treatment Module RFQ Guide
Prepare a clear RFQ for a CO furnace treatment module by documenting the gas source, operating envelope, contaminants, interfaces, controls, layout and project supply boundaries.
Describe the process and operating envelope
Identify the upstream process, normal and peak flow, temperature and pressure, operating schedule and start-up or upset conditions. Attach available gas analysis and explain how representative it is instead of presenting one isolated design value.
Document contaminants and performance basis
List known gas components, particulate, moisture and substances that may affect materials or treatment. State the required outlet basis and measurement reference. Buyers should confirm applicable safety, environmental and permitting requirements with their responsible specialists.
Map utilities, controls and interfaces
Record available electrical supply, fuel or heating media, compressed air and drainage where relevant. Define requested instruments, signals, alarms, local controls and plant-system interfaces without assuming what is included in the packaged module.
Plan layout and delivery
Provide plot space, connection points, access, service clearances, lifting route and transport restrictions. State who supplies ducts, supports, foundations, insulation, field wiring, commissioning assistance and documentation.

Frequently asked questions
What should a treatment-module RFQ include?
Provide the process source, available gas data, operating modes, contaminants, required outlet basis, utilities, controls, layout, destination and clear supply boundaries.
Can a module be selected from flow rate alone?
No. Temperature, composition, contaminants, pressure, operating variation and the project performance basis are also needed for a responsible technical review.
Why define interfaces before quotation?
Ducts, foundations, utilities, controls, insulation, lifting and field installation may be divided between different parties. A written boundary reduces gaps and duplicate allowances.
